Worth a look
- Docker docs got a long-overdue cleanup — they finally split engine and desktop into separate sections. Cleaner navigation, less guessing where things live.
- A tiny self-hosted status page written in Go. Bookmarked for the homelab. I’ll spin it up over the weekend if I get bored.
- n8n release notes. Yes, I’m behind. Working through them anyway.
- Azure’s new Johannesburg region went GA. Not my problem, but good news for clients serving southern Africa. Latency matters there.
What I broke
Spent twenty minutes figuring out why a Make scenario kept timing out. Turned out I’d left a sleep(60) in there from last week’s debugging. Removed it. Felt stupid. Sharing so you can feel briefly smarter than me.
Small opinion
Every vendor pitches a “seamless migration path.” There’s no such thing. There’s just “less painful than the alternative.” That’s the real bar, and I don’t know why marketing won’t say it that way. Saves everyone time.
