I’m James Henderson, a solo founder and DevOps engineer with 20 years in IT.
I’ve spent my career building systems for other companies. A few years ago I started building my own, side projects, digital products, automated businesses. This site is the record of that, plus everything I’ve learned about the tools that make solo building possible.
The founder space is full of people selling courses about making money. I’m not doing that. I write about the actual stack: the AI tools that replace real work, the automation that runs while you sleep, the products you can launch without a team. I’ve built with these tools myself, and I’m honest about what’s worth your money and what isn’t.
I run Layered Media LLC, where I build digital products and services. My background is a long stretch of government and commercial IT.
