Been a Monday. Got the staging server back up after the SSL cert expired over the weekend. Whoops. Stuck a cron job in with a 30-day warning so it doesn’t bite me again. I keep learning these things the hard way.
Spent an hour figuring out why my n8n workflow was silently dropping webhook payloads. Turned out the response timeout was set to 5s and the target API was hitting 7-8s under load. Bumped it to 30s. Logged it, moved on.
Saw Anthropic roll out some Claude updates. Pricing across providers is getting genuinely harder to compare side by side. I’ll do a proper breakdown once I’ve got a weekend to run them through the same prompt set.
Quick tip: if you’re running Ollama on a small VPS, check your swap. I had a 4GB box that kept OOM-killing during model loads until I dropped in a 4GB swap file. Took two restarts to catch it.
