Project management software is stuffed with AI features now. Most of them are glorified chatbots. Here’s what I think actually pulls its weight in 2025 — based on vendor docs, G2 and Capterra reviews, and how painful the setup was.

I went through vendor docs, G2 and Capterra reviews, and a handful of Reddit threads to put this together. I didn’t deploy every one of these — that would take months and I’m not doing that for a blog post. But I’ve used Notion for years to track my own projects and client work, so I can speak to that one from experience.

Solid showing this year. A couple stand out as genuinely useful — the rest are mostly AI wrappers with subscription fees. I scored these against vendor docs, G2 and Capterra reviews, plus some Reddit threads. Heads up: I didn’t deploy any of them myself since they aren’t part of my stack, so take the rating as informed research rather than a head-to-head bake-off.
